CURRENT VACANCIES
Associate Research Scientist
​
About the Role:
We’re currently looking for an Associate Research Scientist to join our Solar Development team. This role will support our scientists in the development of our technology such that it reaches performance targets and can be successfully scaled to a commercially viable product.
Your main responsibilities will include:

Research, prepare, and conduct data collection activities for device performance and stability, reporting to senior colleagues.

Assisting senior colleagues in running larger development programmes.

Act as technical lead on smaller development projects.

Basic analysis of data and presentation of findings in team meetings.

Studying scientific literature to support technical development.
-
Support in capturing company intellectual property and know-how.
-
Prepare and implement relevant H&S documentation (e.g. COSHH and Risk Assessments).
Training and support are available for new employees.
About you:
-
You’ll be degree educated in chemistry, physics, materials science or electronics engineering or have equivalent experience. Knowledge and/or experience in PV or perovskite would be an advantage in this role.

Have at least one year’s experience working in a laboratory environment and preferably with handling chemicals.

You’ll understand the importance of attention to detail and be able to work at pace while maintaining accurate records.

Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to write clear, concise reports in English.

Strong organisational and time management skills, with ability to work effectively and collaboratively.
-
You’ll be a team player, who can adapt to the changing priorities that working in a research & development environment brings with it.

Have the right to work in the UK, as there is no sponsorship available with this role.

Ability to travel to site in line with operational hours.
What we offer:

Salary range £29,700 to £36,300, depending on experience.

Full Time – 37.5 hours per week – Monday to Friday.
-
25 days holiday plus bank holidays with the opportunity to purchase more.
