Power Roll Present at Rushlight Summer Showcase

Neil Spann, Managing Director of Power Roll Ltd, attended and presented at The Rushlight Summer Showcase which was held in London on 20th June. This event brings together over 250 cleantech developers and sustainable solution providers as well as active European investors & financiers, corporate venturers, government departments, business partners, consultants, intermediaries, advisers and businesses looking to source suppliers and partners for an improved level of sustainability in their supply chain and operations. 

As well as the conference where Neil presented Power Roll’s cutting edge disruptive energy technologies, there was also an exhibition of over 60 of the latest innovations in cleantech, including the Innovate UK Materials & Advanced Manufacturing, Clean Growth, Innovation Loans, Faraday Battery and Automotive Showcase. 



Team Power Roll Raise over £980 for St Oswald’s

Neil, Trevor and Laura successfully completed Keswick Half Marathon on Sunday 5th May. This is the second year Power Roll have taken park in the scenic (but very hilly) half marathon and have raised £985 for St Oswald’s in the process. There is now talk of the London Marathon!! Watch this space!

Power Roll Ltd Awarded Energy Catalyst 5 Project

Power Roll are delighted to have been awarded a £700k grant from Innovate UK to fund development and demonstration of its unique ultra-low cost, scalable solar PV technology in off-grid locations in Africa and India.  Power Roll are working with expert sub-contractors and three partners to support the demonstrators across several test sites in these markets: The Energy and Resources Institute, India (TERI); Unilever; and Newcastle University.

The project is focused on the development and demonstration of various system applications that address the energy needs of rural off-grid communities in the Sub Saharan African, Indian and SE Asia.  In the first year several demonstration sites across India and Africa and commercial applications, such as solar pumping for agricultural irrigation will be developed.  In year two, the Power Roll PV technology will then be deployed into the various applications and test sites allowing field data to be collected including system performance and end user benefits.
